Pancrace c’est avant tout un orgue débridé mais c’est aussi un quintet de musique improvisée, des concerts et des actions culturelles.

Après avoir détourné la façon de jouer de l’orgue dans les églises, l’avoir tiré dans le champ du profane, Prune Bécheau, Julien Desailly, Arden Day, Léo Maurel et Jan Vysocky ont créé un orgue de toutes pièces, adapté à leurs pratiques musicales.

Toulouse, Univesrité Jean-Jaures :
Le lundi 7 octobre à 14h, dans le cadre d’un partenariat CIAM avec le festival Riverrun du GMEA : Centre National de Création Musicale d’Albi-Tarn, le festival Toulouse les Orgues et l’association Un Pavé dans le Jazz, l'orchestre PANCRACE donne une masterclass ouverte aux étudiants sur le thème de la facture instrumentale.

Avec Pancrace, la musique naît de l’objet sonore.
L’instrument trituré, détourné de son usage habituel devient l’inspirateur de sons inouïs, jamais imaginés.
