State Capture Commission Review

from African Dialogue · host Channel Africa

Proceedings at the Zondo Commission of Enquiry into State Capture have been postponed to November. Deputy chief justice Raymond Zondo’s legal team brought an application to postpone evidence submission former Minister Barbara Hogan, who was expected to testify, as well as Minister Pravin Gordhan. Advocate Thandi Norman told the commission that Hogan’s final statement had been received but those implicated in her affidavit had not been given sufficient time to respond - which is normally a two week window. One of the submissions was done by Nhlanhla Nene who was at the time Minister of Finance, who after the giving his side of things subsequently resigned as Minister. To help us unpack the discussion for the day, we are joined by: • Sam Sole Co-Managing Director Ama-Bhungane • Karyn Maughan Senior Journalist Tiso Black Star
