State of Decay 2's Success Reaffirms Xbox Game Pass' Existence - Controlled Interests Gamecast Ep. 99

The biggest news revolves around the NPD numbers for MAy 2018 wherein State of Decay 2 reigned supreme despite launching on Xbox Game Pass. This is the 2nd Xbox exclusive that launched on Xbox Game Pass and still came in at #1 on NPD the month it came out.  A number of classic PS4 titles are now being sold with the Greatest Hits banner at $20 a piece including: Uncharted 4, Doom, Bloodborne, Ratchet & Clank, Infamous Second Son, Yakuza 0, and many more. Microsoft’s chief marketing officer of gaming Mike Nichols said that “we don’t have any plans specific to Xbox consoles in virtual reality or mixed reality.” Nichols goes on to say that the PC is “probably the best platform” for virtual and mixed reality, and that for the Xbox, “our focus is primarily on experiences you would play on your TV.”
