State of farming, ranching in Utah

from KSL's Inside Sources

A lackluster winter, a weird spring, and a hot, dry summer -- all things that make farming and ranching here in Utah and across the West more challenging than normal. Mixed with a difficult economy, international tariffs, and challenges with herd sizes, our farmers and ranchers have sure had an uphill battle. So with all that in mind, we focus on how agriculture has been dealing with some really intense challenges. The show is first joined by Kaid Panek, brand ambassador for the American Cattlemen and former state vice president of the Utah FFA. The hosts then shift specifically to farming and are joined by Ron Stratford, President of the Utah Farmers Union.
