Statement Victory in Calgary
from Rinkside with Aarif Deen Hosted by Mile High Sports
The Avalanche defeated the Calgary Flames 2-1 on Tuesday. In this special edition episode, Aarif is riding solo to chat about the statement victory. He touches on Valeri Nichushkin's ability to step into Gabriel Landeskog's role in front of the net as well as the Avs' new-look top six following the injury to Nathan MacKinnon. He also chats about MacKinnon's status and if his injury might not be as severe as initially expected. Aarif also takes a deep dive into Darcy Kuemper's play. Not only his exceptional 44-save performance in Calgary but his season as a whole -- especially since December. The show ends with an update on Bowen Byram.
