Stay Away From Cheap Trucking Companies. A report coming from California this week blames truck drivers for a higher percent of accidents than previous reports. The report says that truck drivers attribute to over 40% of "at fault" accidents on the highways. Previous articles from various groups have truck drivers at a much lower rate. In most reports, it is found that over 80% of all "at fault' accidents are caused by the driver of the 4 wheeled vehicle. This is the first report of its kind that puts a bigger blame on the trucker. A state police ride along trooper was quoted as saying "the new generation of truck drivers seemed to be behind the wheel of most "at fault" truck driver accidents.
