We have experienced setbacks and loss. I did not anticipate that we’d still be fighting some of the battles we currently face. I envisioned a world where everyone is treated with dignity and respect, a world in which no one was without access to the basic necessities. I anticipated a world  where everyone was given the opportunity to reach their fullest potential. We don’t currently live in that world. Some would argue that we never have. But that doesn’t matter. Because that’s the world we been called to create, the world we been called to participate in making. So get up. Stay in the fight.
