Frame Your Week with the Word Identity in Christ, Rooted and GROUNDED in Christ, as you grow as a LIVING STONE. 12/1/25Today we focus our faith confessions on God's Truth about our Identity in Him.It is important to understand that Biblical confession is given to us to confess the written Word and prophetic destinies, not to just 'have whatever we say.' Mark 11:23Jesus illustrated Mark 11:23 in the context of a prophetic act of cursing a tree that represented the OT covenant with Israel that was not able to bear the fruit of a born-again spirit, a new heart.Confessing God's truth does not "make something true', God's Word IS true and our confession helps renew our mind to the truth and releases the power of the truth into our lives to start directing our thinking, actions and eventually circumstances.It is ungodly to use this principle of confession in ways Jesus did not demonstrate or teach on. He never taught His disciples to speak over a town 'all people will be healed'. That is unscriptural to use the principle of confession to try to 'get things to happen' outside of your personal choices.A pastor can speak over his/her church "God's sheep respond to the Word every time it is being preached or taught, God's sheep are growing and outgrowing lifes' problems.' And can use the principles of binding and loosing the adversary in people's lives, but no pastor gets to say 'all my sheep read their Bible every day' and expect the Holy Spirit to bring that to pass.We are Living Stones, constantly growing and maturing.We are Living Stones built up with other stones around us also growing and maturing.There are many seasons God walks all of us through personally, ministerially, maritally, parentally, financially and many other ways.Through all the different seasons, we are remain rooted and grounded in the Word, and our Identity in Christ and covenant realities of healing, increase, protection and purpose.We are to always remain rooted and grounded in Christ. Col. 2:7This is what roots us in our ever-changing seasons.We are not to be rooted and grounded in our callings, but in Christ Himself.God knows the details of your life, past anything you will ever comprehend.
