Staying Faithful when the World Stands Against You (John 15)

from Well Faith with Chris Teien · host Chris Teien

We are going through the Gospel of John, and in chapter 15:18-20, Jesus says, “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. Remember what I told you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also." People who reject Christ will reject you if they see Christ in you. Jesus encourages his disciples and us with the explanation of why people stand against us, how the Holy Spirit is working around us, This is a comforting message for those who may suffer for living for Jesus in our godless culture and a challenging message for those who try to keep everyone happy by not talking about their faith and standing for their Biblical convictions. Whether you're facing opposition at work, school, or in your personal life, this message will provide practical insights and spiritual strength to help you stay the course. NOTES:Rockwell Church     Aug 25, 2024     Pastor Chris TeienStaying Faithful When the World Stands Against YouJohn 15:18-16:41.
