Staying on top of the 2026 changes to Employment Standards -- #MotivatingMondays Episode 40

from Motivating Mondays · host Christian Saint Cyr

In this episode of #MotivatingMondays, we’re talking about the massive changes that have come and are coming to employment standards across the country. Each province and territory is angling to be the most attractive place to live whether for young people, immigrants or those from other parts of Canada and they are introducing worker-friendly standards to encourage this. According to the Canadian Occupational Projection System, less than 50% of our future workforce growth is going to come from young people entering the workforce for the first time. Barely 25-35 per cent of our workforce needs will come from immigrants and that means the other 15-25 per cent will need to come from engaging people who have checked out of the workforce or encouraging people to move from other provinces.#MotivingMondays, is a weekly YouTube series dedicated to help Canadian job developers and other employer engagement professionals develop the tools, resources, expertise and network needed to excel in achieving sustainable employment outcomes for their clients and students. If you would like to join us LIVE, we meet every Monday morning online with job developers from across Canada to discuss a new topic. Meetings are 30 minutes and start at 8:30 Pacific; 9:30 Mountain; 10:30 Central; 11:30 Eastern; 12:30 Atlantic and at 1pm in Newfoundland and Labrador. To start your FREE membership in the Canadian Job Development Network, please visit: www.JobDevelopment.org and click our membership tab: https://lp.constantcontactpages.com/sl/ieuhtvc Video Link: https://youtu.be/8CD2kM8tbzoEmail: [email protected]: www.JobDevelopment.org
