STAYING ROOTED IN CHRIST!

from The Kingdom Of God First Podcast. · host Tewe Kolade Felix

Scripture: Colossians 2:6-7 "So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness." The strength of a tree lies in its roots. When storms come, it's not the branches that keep it standing, but the depth and firmness of its roots. In the same way, our spiritual stability and growth come from staying rooted in Christ. Paul encourages believers in Colossians 2:6–7 not just to receive Christ but to continue in Him—drawing strength, wisdom, and nourishment from Him every day. Being rooted in Christ means building our lives on His truth, not shifting emotions or worldly trends. It involves daily fellowship with Him through the Word and prayer. As we do, our faith is strengthened, and we grow in spiritual maturity. The deeper our roots in Jesus, the more unshakable our lives become. We won’t be easily swayed by doubt, fear, or hardship. Instead, we will overflow with thankfulness, knowing our lives are grounded in eternal hope. Today, ask yourself: Are my roots deep in Christ, or am I depending on shallow sources for strength? Prayer: Lord Jesus, help me to stay rooted in You. Let my life be built on Your truth, and may I grow stronger in faith each day. Keep me anchored in Your love, that I may withstand every storm and overflow with gratitude. In Your name, Amen.
