Steelers draft plans, first round quarterbacks, and the success of James Conner

There’s still a subset of fans upset about not drafting Dan Marino. Yes, we’re talking 30-some odd years ago, and only now because for the last five years, they’ve wanted the Steelers to draft a quarterback in the first round to replace Ben Roethlisberger.As usual, Joe Kuzma hops on the horn to talk (yet again) why first round picks are ill-advised, and to point out why the Steelers have only used a first round pick on quarterbacks twice since selecting Terry Bradshaw in 1970.Joe also has a brief discussion on taking a running back in the first round, which some fans have now criticized the team for doing in lieu of keeping James Conner.
