They acquired Michael Pittman Jr. in a trade with the Colts to finally fill their WR2 vacancy. They signed Jamel Dean, coming off of a career season to play opposite of Joey Porter Jr. and fill the vacancy left by James Pierre's departure. With Kenneth Gainwell off to Tampa Bay, the team signed RB Rico Dowdle coming off a second consecutive 1,300-yard season. They also brought in Darnell Savage as safety depth.
