Steer

There are no villains Just human beings Committing abhorrent acts at the wrong times Then everybody reads about it A story designed to paralyse There are no heroes Just humans beings Taking the right actions At the correct times And sometimes we'll hear about it A story shard to pacify Gawking at the victims You are acting like you knew them Swallowing the dirt they choose to feed to you Who cares if they're ugly? It's only tragic when they're pretty Do you believe everything you read is true? There are no gods Just human beings Controlling those without power To protect themselves And we will not read all about it Stories distorted by the ones with wealth Let's try to avoid what they're dishing out This gossip Cover your eyes Cover your ears Aren't you sick of the taste of bullshit? We are our own captains It's time to steer clear
