Stephanie Bartholomew: The Grief Secretary Part 1 (The First Days & Weeks)

from Holding the Light: Sharing Hope After Child Loss · host Monica and Colby Charette

This is our first of  a special two-episode interview, sharing our personal experiences of how friends and family can support a grieving family after child loss. Colby and I are joined by our longtime family friend, Dr. Stephanie Bartholomew, who bravely and immediately stepped in when Cassidy died, to become what I have lovingly termed, my Grief Secretary. In this week’s podcast, we focus on the first hours, days and weeks after Cassidy’s sudden passing, and the many ways friends carried us. We hope sharing our experience might help others who are supporting friends and families along the grief journey. We invite you to come back for Episode #2, released on August 15, 2022, when we continue our conversation with Stephanie about how grief changes over time, and how the support we need does too. We are grateful to Steph, our many friends and family, and our community, for their love and support. What did you think?
