Stepping In, Stepping Out Part III: You're Not Alone

Have you ever walked alone at night? Maybe you’ve gone camping or you are a walker or runner going out in the dark. It can kind of be a creepy experience. Sometimes we don’t really like to be alone. We get afraid or we loose confidence. This type of fear can grip our spiritual lives when we seek to make disciples and we step out of our comfort zone into someone else’s life. You might have negative self talk: I can’t do it.  If you’ve ever felt this feeling of being alone, then this passage this morning is for you. We never have to do it alone. Christ promises his enabling presence will be with us. As we look at our passage, remember that you’re never alone in making disciples. Matthew 28:18-20: And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in[a] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
