Connected Leaders Academy I was raised in a nontraditional environment, the Tennessee Baptist Children’s Home with my siblings at the age of 11. This unique upbringing, surrounded by over 100 children and their diverse personalities, profoundly shaped my ability to connect with people. It taught me compassion, resilience, and a deep understanding of others' experiences. Throughout my life, I have dedicated myself to inspiring and motivating others to embrace personal integrity and overcome adversity. Serving on various Boards of Directors and committees, volunteering, fundraising, and mentoring, I’ve sought to create positive change. I’ve also contributed to building five successful businesses, including my own, while staying grounded in my commitment to helping others. In my book, Stepping Stones: Creating Personal Integrity, I share five transformative strategies to guide readers on their journey toward growth and fulfillment. Through seminars and speaking engagements, I aim to empower women, youth, and anyone facing challenges to take ownership of their lives and pursue their God-given purpose. My approach combines personal life lessons, practical wisdom, and actionable tools. Together, we’ll explore how to accept realities, visualize futures, set goals, and create actionable plans. We’ll also address the power of forgiveness and faith as vital components of lasting transformation. I am honored to share my story and strategies at this summit, offering hope and a roadmap for those ready to step into the lives they deserve. I am the founder of a company dedicated to assisting people in overcoming trauma and challenges from childhood. As a speaker and author, I have written a book and developed a seminar/workshop series both part of a five-step program designed to encourage individuals to look at their lives honestly. This program helps them recognize the patterns of choices, decisions, and actions that shape their lives, with the goal of designing a life of personal integrity. My book, "Stepping Stones Creating Personal Integrity," tells the story of my nontraditional childhood, growing up in a group home with over 100 children after being abused, neglected, and abandoned twice. This experience has equipped me with the skills, talents, and abilities to relate to people on most levels. I believe that intentional living and a positive mindset are key to overcoming adversity and life's challenges. After a successful 30-year career in sales, public relations, and marketing, during which I helped build five businesses, I am now retiring from the business world. I am embracing the challenge of building my own company, fulfilling my God-given purpose in this third phase of my life.
