Stepping Up by Stepping In (Matt 1.18-25) - 6-19-22

Scripture texts are Joshua 24:14-27 and Matthew 1:18-25 from the subject, “Stepping Up by Stepping In." As men and/or fathers, we can learn a lot about godly responsibility from Joseph.1.Walk in integrity. (vv 18-19)Respect is EARNED! Men of INTEGRITY earn RESPECT! Joseph could be TRUSTED by Mary. Joseph the dreamer (Gen 39.2-4) also WALKED in INTEGRITY and found favor from the Lord! Nehemiah and Daniel were men who also walked in INTEGRITY! The commonality of these men is that they ALL followed the Lord! Follow the LORD and be WORTH following!2.Must listen to God (vv 20-23)Too many are listening to society! Work on our relationships with Jesus by tuning our ears to Him! The closer we are to Him, the clearer His voice will be.3.Obey God and leave all the consequences to Him. (vv 24-25)Joseph was a great example to his household and the world! Can God depend on men today to be godly examples of the father figures He needs? It takes a village, a godly village, to raise our children! Men will you STEP UP and STEP IN?Today is a GREAT DAY to be that man of INTEGRITY according to the WORD of GOD! We honor the fathers and father figures who follow JESUS and are leading children to follow the LORD. Happy Father's Day!
