In addition to community advocacy, Mr. Driffin organized a theatrical reading of “Death by 1,000 Cuts: A Requiem for Black and Brown Men, which he wrote and directed. “Death by A Thousand Cuts” was performed on Feb. 11 and 12, 2022 at the Buckman Theater at Quinnipiac University. We sat down together to discuss art, the unique predicament of black and brown men, and how to move the conversation of equity in the arts forward.
