After starting his career on the early independent book Star*Reach, Steve went on to make his bones freelancing for Marvel on such titles as Warlock, Star Wars, Marvel Team-Up, Firestar, and New Mutants. The Star Wars gig even landed him at an early test screening of the first movie! He may be best known for his Howard the Duck work, as well as contributions to Vertigo on Sandman-related books and an especially long run on Fables.
