Steve Murphy & Javier Peña
from Spear Talk Hosted by Silver Spear Security, JM Guarnieri
For Spear Talk 96, we had the honor to speak with the two (now retired) DEA agents, Steve Murphy and Javier Escobar, that helped bring down infamous narcoterrorist, Pablo Escobar! They are the co-authors of the book "Manhunters: How We Took Down Pablo Escobar" which was the basis for the hit Netflix show, Narcos! Steve and Javier now travel the world talking about tracking down Pablo Escobar in front of sold out crowds. They are co-hosts of the Game Of Crimes Podcast! In our discussion we covered how Steve and Javier became partners, dealing with the media romanticizing the story of Pablo and his "charity", dealing with corruption, the importanace of intel and research, how they never gave up after failed attempts to capture Pablo, the day Pablo was killed, how Netflix appraoched them for the show Narcos, and so much more! #narcos #pabloescobar #DEA Follow @speartalkpodcast on Instagram for all things podcast! @johnsilverspear is the host / COO of Silver Spear Security, LLC
