Steven Erikson | Author - Malazan Book of the Fallen

from Amalgam Podcast · host Corbin Mendenhall

Steven Erikson is best known for his series, Malazan: Book of the Fallen, which introduced readers to a fantasy world unlike any other before.   While studying to become an archaeologist and anthropologist, Steven co-created the universe with Ian Cameron Esslemont, ultimately serving as lore for their tabletop RPG campaigns. This created stories and characters spanning millennia, of which both authors have continued to flesh out with new novels. Steven is currently working on two additional trilogies, one set before and one set after the Book of the Fallen.  He has also added two science fiction novels to his repertoire since first publishing Gardens of the Moon in 1999. I am extremely thankful for Steven and his time for this interview.  Thank you to the subreddit community for the questions you submitted and thank you to those that support the podcast!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
