Hello, welcome back to another episode of Broken Record. My name is Ellie, I'm your host, and today we're going to be talking about the Stevie Nicks concert. So this past week, two weeks ago, Stevie Nicks came and performed at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington. She performed on March 15th, and I'm so excited to talk about it.

So Stevie Nicks had an opener, her name is Syl, and Syl is actually from Colorado, and what's really funny is she's from the same town that my sister's college roommate is from, and so they're both from the same small town, which I thought was funny. But anyway, so Syl was the opener, her voice is so cute and so, like, just magical, and I loved listening to it, so I'm gonna play a little bit of Syl right now. Her voice is just so magical. I love it.

Syl sang a bunch of songs, and she was super cute. The next song I wanna play is also by Syl, and it's about her brother. It's a really sweet song with kind of a sad backstory to it. Her brother, unfortunately, was not feeling the best mentally, and he didn't want to be here anymore, and so Syl wrote this song for him, and I think it's really nice and sweet, and it just, you can tell it meant a lot to her, and so that makes it mean a lot to me.

And so it was really special. It was really cool to hear live. So here is Try by Syl. Her voice is just so beautiful.

I love it so much. Okay, now I wanna talk about Stevie, the queen herself. I can't believe I've seen Stevie in the next live. It's actually insane to me.

She's such an icon. I loved her in Fleetwood Mac. I loved her solo career. Like, it's crazy.

Like, Stevie Nicks is just so iconic, and I love her so much, and it's crazy to me that I'm able to say that I've seen her live. It just makes me so happy. Like, I love Stevie Nicks. I've wanted to see her perform live for so long.

She, like, hasn't been touring a lot, but then when she does tour, she, like, only goes to certain cities, and so she hasn't been to Seattle in a while, and when she was in Seattle previously, I was always busy, but she was finally here, and I was available, and I got to go see her, and it's so cool, but I love Stevie Nicks forever and always. But yeah, I loved her. She was hilarious. She kept telling us, like, these stories, and she just was so funny, which is very entertaining.

So Stevie Nicks actually opened her encore with Free Falling, which is obviously a song by Tom Petty, and I thought that was really cool that she did that. She did a tribute to Tom Petty by singing Free Falling, and then she also did a tribute to Christine McPhee by singing Landslide, but I want to play her singing Free Falling, because it's not often you get to hear, like, famous artists cover other songs, so I'm excited to play it for you. Here's Free Falling by Tom Petty, sang by Stevie Nicks. Isn't that so fun?

Once Stevie was singing the tributes to Tom and Christine, there was a photo, like, a slideshow playing in the background, and all the photos were so cool. It was so interesting to see, like, all the fashion and, like, the experiences and, like, them hanging out together. Like, it was just, it was so cool. It's so cool.

Like, I would, it has always been so interesting to me to be, like, a touring photographer and, like, just being able to, like, take pictures of everything, because you would get to capture so many cool moments, like, it would be insane to me. I'm not a very talented photographer, so that's not gonna go anywhere, but it's always been a dream of mine. Like, in another world, if I was a good photographer, I would totally be a touring photographer. That would just be so fun.

But yeah, the next song I want to play is actually a Fleetwood Mac song, because we have to include a Fleetwood Mac song. I'm gonna play Rhiannon. I love this song so much. It's one of my favorite Fleetwood Mac songs.

It's so good. She sang a couple Fleetwood Mac songs, actually. She sang Dreams, she sang Gypsy, obviously Rhiannon, and she also sang Sarah, and so it was just so cool to hear those live, because she obviously has enough solo songs that she, like, doesn't have to play Fleetwood Mac live, but she did, and it was really cool. So, here's Rhiannon.

Oh my gosh, I love that song so much. It's so good, and hearing it live was just so special and whimsical and magical, and I just love it forever and always. I love that song so much. Oh, it's so cool that I got to hear it live.

Okay, now, it's time for the last song I'm gonna play today. It is arguably one of, no, it is Stevie Nicks' most streamed song on Apple Music. I believe it's the same on Spotify, but I'm not 100% sure. Edge of Seventeen.

Oh my gosh, I love this song so much. I love hearing it live. It was so cool. Okay, I can't really say anything more about it because it's just so special and I don't want to do it dirty, so here is Edge of Seventeen.

Oh my gosh, it's so cool. I love that song so much. It was so cool to hear live, and I'm so happy I got to hear it live. This concert, as a whole, was just incredible, and I love it forever and always, and I'm so happy and grateful and lucky that I got to go.

It was so special. I went with my parents and another family. It was so fun. We went to dinner beforehand, and it was so just magical, and I loved it so much.

Stevie had great stories. She was hilarious, and she also wore some of her, like, capes, shawls. I'm not sure the right terminology, but she wore some of the original costumes, I guess, that she wore, like, for songs. I believe either out, like, the cover shoot or a music video shoot, but it was so cool, and it was so cool.

This concert was just so special, and I'm so excited that I got to go. Stevie Nicks was on a great concert, and I recommend going if you can. But yeah, thank you so much for listening to this episode of Broken Record. My name is Ellie.
