Stewarding Your Testimony

from Rooted & Rising Collective · host Rooted & Rising Collective

We’ve both felt compelled to share our stories and talk more openly about what God has done in our lives. There was just one problem: we realized we weren’t entirely sure what it actually meant to share a testimony. So we went to Scripture. In this episode, we share the journey we’ve been on as we’ve dug into what the Bible actually teaches about testimony—and where some of the versions we’ve encountered in the world can become watered down, overly polished, or focused more on the person telling the story than the God the story is meant to reveal. We explore the difference between simply telling your story and stewarding what God has given you the opportunity to witness. We talk about the pressure to create a dramatic before-and-after, the temptation to make ourselves the hero, and what it looks like to share our stories with honesty while keeping God at the center. We certainly don't have it all figured out. This episode is part of our own journey of learning what it means to faithfully steward our testimonies—and why we believe our stories are worth sharing when they point beyond us and back to Him. 💜 WHERE YOU CAN FIND US Looking for the links we mention in this episode?
