Steyer Plans To Jail ICE Agents & Sheriff Bianco Denied

Billionaire gubernatorial candidate Tom Steyer unveiled a plan that would allow ICE agents to be jailed, calling the agency a “violent extremist group.” The proposal immediately drew backlash from law enforcement groups and Republicans, while Steyer framed it as a response to what he calls systemic abuses in immigration enforcement.  Riverside County has declined to pay legal fees for Sheriff Chad Bianco as he faces multiple lawsuits over his investigation into seized election ballots. County officials say the decision stems from conflicts of interest, leaving Bianco to fund his own defense as the legal battle continues.
