In the summer of 2000 the Nintendo 64 was on it's way out. The PlayStation 2, the sucessor to the N64 rival PlayStation, was coming out later that year and the GameCube was a still over a year away from release. The summer of 2000 was probably the last chance the N64 had of seriously competing in the console market before the next console generation was in full swing and boy howdy did Rare release a game to help usher out the N64 on a high note. Joining me this week is YouTuber Jiggylookback to talk about Rare's "sequel" GoldenEye, Perfect Dark. The game was a technical marvel for the time and really pushed the console to it's limits. Perfect Dark took what Rare learned from GoldenEye and expanded upon it. Not just both in terms of tech but also story and atmosphere.
