This is the stinking truth. The 49ers canceled a minicamp. What are we doing? Which has now thrown the Brandon Ayuk drama into a whole nother level because, you know, the sense is that maybe they're squatting on Brandon Ayuk. And by not having the minicamp, it's avoiding an awkward situation with Ayuk. Ayuk's talking about how he's going to bring the belt, I guess. And they're running away from the belt. And meanwhile, the Cowboys are linked to Brandon Ayuk. Wide receivers, man. Wide receivers. What? One.

You don't do anything in the offseason anymore anyhow. And I understand San Francisco has been more injured than anybody or any team in football. But really, you're going to cancel a three-day minicamp because why? Because you can't get out there on the field once a day in shorts and t-shirts? I mean, that just seems odd to me. It just seems odd to me that we're getting to the point that less and less work.

you seem to think is going to create more and more health. And I would argue that less and less work creates more and more injuries because you don't build up a callus. You don't build up to doing football things like like this is really this for me is really interesting because I think there are more ACLs, more Achilles tendons, more soft tissue injuries because we don't actually operate like football players. We train like we're track athletes. We train with rubber bands and medicine bowls. And I'm not saying that new training isn't great. I understand that. But at some point, Mike, you've got to develop the kinesthetic awareness to be man on man with another dude that you're working against and not just running on air and not just coming in and out of breaks without somebody nudging you and pushing on you and all these things that are endemic of playing football.

So I don't understand why we why we continue to take football activities or the football out of football activities and think that that's going to make us healthier. Yeah, but think this. I mean, the evidence is the evidence. You got a lot of smart people. A lot of NFL teams, it just seems like the collective idea is that less is less is more in the offseason. Yeah, I just disagree. I just disagree with the way we practice, the way we do things in the NFL. I think it ultimately leads to more and more injuries because guys aren't they're just not as like I said, there's just not that same kinesthetic awareness of your body and somebody else's body and the pushing that goes on it and all the just shearing forces of adjusting and readjusting and doing all the things that you have to do as a football player. Let's also forget you players signed up for this. Oh, I know because we're stupid.

There's no question. We're just dumb. That's why we signed up for it. That's what we do, right? You negotiated for this. Oh, I know, I know. Less work. Yeah, less work. Because we thought it was going to make us healthier, too. The players are dumb. And that's okay. I mean, that's just the way it is. The players are dumb. But back on to, speaking of dumb, back on to Ayuk. Let's get back up onto your porch. Back into your house. Right, right, right. I don't understand him either. So they had an issue. They talked about working out of trade early in his career. Then in 2024, he signed a $120 million deal with, I think,

70 some of it guaranteed. I think that was what it was, something like that. And then he plays in in he signs that right before the 2024 season, plays in seven games, tears his ACL. And he was supposed to come back like week six of 2025 and just quit showing up to meetings and quit showing up because he was angry about something. He was upset about something. He wasn't you know, he wasn't being given enough love. I mean, I don't know. I don't know what went on with Brandon, but I do know when I hear him talk about himself in the third person instantly, it starts making me feel like you're an idiot and you have.

Zero understanding of your value to this team and what they actually think of you. You've got the quotes. What do you say? I mean, what are some of the stupid things he said? Stop running from the belt. The belt coming. You scared. They scared. The truth is they scared. They know how I get. They're going to say, oh, yeah, B.A. did this. B.A. did that. You know that bleep allegedly, allegedly. But what they're not going to say is B.A. suck at football because they know how I get and they're running from that belt that's on the way. It's inevitable. It's coming. Stop running. So they're saying they don't want to trade Brandon Ayuk because why? Because he's so damn good.

He'll make him regret. He's going to make him regret it because of all the unbelievable things that he does. Give me a break. Come on, dude. Has anybody, when they list the top 10 receivers in the National Football League, has the name Brandon Ayuk ever come out of anybody's mouth when they listed the top 10 wide receivers in the National Football League? Maybe a couple years ago. I don't even know about a couple of years ago. I mean, you want to talk. This is, again, this is my problem. And this is why I hate wide receivers. This is my problem with your overinflated opinion of what you bring to a football team.

Like, first and foremost, man, he was the 25th overall pick. And I know for a fact, I know for a fact, at the beginning of his career, and a lot of guys have to ease into it and figure out what they're doing. He was drafted, I think, in 2020. And then he got paid in 2024, right? But I know early in his career, there were many times where he wasn't starting, where they put him on the bench because of his...

junior college kind of approach to professional football. Like, I know for a fact that happened multiple occasions because they weren't happy with performance. They weren't happy with work. They weren't happy with any of that stuff. So, I mean, you can sit there and, you know, you can sit there and, you know, pat yourself on the back of how great you are. But the truth of the matter is you really haven't put a sort of piss in this league. Like, you're not. Well, you haven't. Well, OK, he's been in the league five years. He's had a thousand yards in his third year and his fourth year.

75 catches, 1,300 yards, 18 yards per catch and seven touchdowns. That's top 10 in the league performance. He was tracking and he got paid. And then he decided, I don't want to do this here anymore. Like, I don't know what the behind the scenes, I really don't. I don't know. Maybe he's like, obviously he's pissed off at the 49ers with it. Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch and all these different things. But you went out and you finally performed and it took you several years to get there. You finally performed. They ended up ponying up and paying you. And then that wasn't good enough.

Because why? You didn't get, you know, you didn't get enough love. They didn't talk nicely about you. They didn't, they didn't like, again, this is just, it's one of those things that just baffles me. Well, you may have a lifeline. And does it surprise you that that lifeline might be the Dallas Cowboys? Come on, Jerry, Jerry, please. You know what? From your lips to God's ears. I hope Jerry signs him. I know, but Jerry's got limits, right? You got, you got, you know what? We're going to corner the market.

on unhappy mercurial wide receivers, right? We're not only going to get George Pickens signed. We've got him into his franchise deal or whatever it is. And then we're going to go get Ayuk as well. And both those two can commiserate about how bad they have it, how undervalued they are, how it's everybody else. It's not me. It's everybody else. Here's a little piece of advice for you, okay? Whether you're Ayuk or whether you're George Pickens, whoever you are, you are...

exactly where you are because of the shitty decisions that you've made. You are not a victim. It is not anybody else's fault. The San Francisco 49ers didn't conspire against you to ruin your career. You are where you are because of your stupidity. Just admit it, embrace it and move forward with it. Right. I mean, that's that's what you got to do. But I hope I hope the Dallas Cowboys sign. Oh, my goodness. Jerry can't help himself. This goes all the way back to T.O. when, you know, when Bill Parcells and.

Jerry Jones, you know, came to an agreement that T.O. was persona non grata. He's not going to be a part of our locker room until the next morning when he was there because Jerry went, I can't help myself. I can't help myself. Bill Parcells, you'll deal with it. You'll deal with it. But this is my guy. So and henceforth, the reason, if you remember back to all those press conferences, Mike, you remember what Bill Parcells used to like? He never called him by T.O. or Terrell Owens. Do you remember what he called him? The player, right? Yeah. He always referenced the player, the player, the player, the player.

Yeah, again, this is the kind of soap opera that the NFL is made on. This is why it's must-watch television. This is why we're addicted to it.
