Stoicism, Self-Care Sunday, and SOCKS!

from That's Hysterical! Now, Get Out! | My Adenomyosis, Hysterectomy and Recovery Journey · host Emily Prokop

"Oh, my gosh, these are so amazing. These make my legs and my thighs feel completely different. Wow. Is this what it's like when there's blood circulating? It was like I found another tool for adenomyosis. I even had that quick thought in my head of, did I just need compression socks this whole time?" — Emily, 8 Days Until Uterus Eviction Day >>> SUPPORT THE SHOW https://ko-fi.com/thatshystericalpodcast ** Stay in the loop with our latest episodes, upcoming topics, and exciting announcements — Sign Up for the Monthly Newsletter! ** In This Episode: Celebrating my usual Self-Care Sunday and happy to have one coming up before my surgery It's so odd to be getting used to the pre-surgery anxiety and almost expecting it now. Today in church, we talked about Stoicism and that's on my mind as I recorded this episode, Learn more about Stoicism here and here. Shout-out to Sarah Mikutel who opened me up to Stoicism I'm hoping to really be able to tap into these Stoicism and Radical Acceptance lessons for my upcoming "T"-Break (T" as in, "Tetrahydrocannabinol" or "THC") A little about how cannabis/CBD/THC helps the pain and discomfort from Adenomyosis and Endometriosis I got some compression socks after reading they would help immediately before and during recovery and I am loving them! Change is scary. But exciting. Having a supportive community to talk openly with has been incredibly helpful. I'm beginning to notice and plan for the things I won't be able to do once I'm in recovery mode, like yoga, choir, driving, even bending over!
