Stop Closing, Start Opening. The Sales Skill Nobody Teaches.

from NLP with Kody G · host kodyg

Most coaches and consultants don’t have a sales problem ... they have an identity problem. Here’s what I mean. When most people think of “sales,” they picture manipulation. Pressure. Scripts. The Wolf of Wall Street. But real sales isn’t about taking. It’s about serving.Think of it like this:You walk into a fine dining restaurant. The waiter doesn’t shove a menu in your face or try to upsell you on the most expensive thing. He asks questions. What are you in the mood for?Do you like steak? How do you like it cooked? Then he paints the picture:“This ribeye’s cooked medium rare. The garlic butter melts right into the fat. It comes with lobster so tender it dissolves in your mouth.”By the time he’s done, you’re already sold.He didn’t close you, he opened you. That’s how sales should feel. It’s not about convincing people to buy. It’s about helping them see what’s possible when they work with you. Here’s what most coaches miss:They pitch their product instead of selling the experience of transformation. They answer questions on the surface instead of addressing the doubts and fears sitting underneath. They try to “close” clients who aren’t even ready, which creates buyer’s remorse and refund requests later.Sales isn’t about pushing harder. It’s about understanding deeper.Ask better questions early in the call so you can speak to the truth behind their objections later. If someone says, “I’m scared to invest,” you don’t need to bulldoze them. You remind them: “That fear is exactly why you need to. Growth requires faith.”That’s how you connect, not at a transactional level, but at a human one.And here’s the biggest key:If you need a sale to pay rent, your energy will betray you.People can smell commission breath.Your focus shifts from helping them to helping yourself, and that’s when everything collapses. When you detach from the outcome and focus on serving, you don’t just make more money. You build trust, loyalty, and transformation. That’s what I teach inside the Speak Life Method ...how to sell with conviction, communicate with clarity, and connect from the heart while still building a profitable business. If you’re tired of chasing clients and you want to learn how to enroll them through authentic connection, let’s talk.🔗 Work with Kody G: https://api.leadconnectorhq.com/widget/booking/vmMEsKs2tlWXQyObT9EK🎯 Join the Sales & Communication Training: links in IG BIO📱 Follow on Instagram: @kingdomcommunicationcoach📺 Subscribe on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@KODYGnlp
