Stop Drawing Blanks (Part 2)
from Emmanuel Afiawari's Inspiration podcast · host Emmanuel Afiawari
The Psalmist makes a strong comparison of children to arrows, "As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; So are children of the youth" (Psalm 127:4). Arrows do not determine their own trajectory; the hunter in whose hands they are does. Since he does, he must never fire blanks. His hands must be steady, his gaze intact and his shots precise. You've stayed long enough in that state of toiling and drawing blanks. It's time to move on to your next big breakthrough. Put yourself together, for the divine move. Jesus puts an end to Peter's misery of toiling all night. He fixed their blanks! He'll fix yours, too. You'll shoot at targets and draw huge returns for every effort; your ears are sensitive to profitable counsel, your eyes open to answers to everything that questions your legitimacy in that you do. A new dawn that cancels your nights of shame is here; net-breaking miracles become common to you. Your results will cancel your insults because the siege is broken forever. Hallelujah!
