That sentence became a story Jim carried for decades. Later failures appeared to confirm it, creating a cycle of self-sabotage. His message is simple: You will never change what you do not confront. First, identify the story. Then ask why you believed it. Finally, replace the lie with something true. That process became part of Jim’s first book, Tell a Better Story. SERVANT LEADERSHIP Jim believes servant leadership is one of the strongest models of leadership. Serving does not mean refusing to lead. A leader still needs to climb above the trees, see the direction, communicate the vision, then come back down and help everyone move toward it together. Leadership starts with relationship.
