Stop Making Eve Funny! We Review the Reviews of "Devoted in Death"

In this episode, we Review the Reviews of "Devoted in Death." We knew they were going to be bad (for the most part). But we're always surprised at how many people continue to read and review these books who clearly don't like the characters, the writing, and essentially the series itself. We've decided it's a kink...they get off on reading books they don't like and then writing reviews talking about how the author needs to stop writing the books you hate. Makes no sense. But anyway...Among those are the people who said:​"S&M and torture? Thanks but no thanks."​"I don't pay for sloppy work. At all."​"Hate romance novels disguised as thriller."​"..this series really needs to end."​"...it seems like it's always Christmas, about to be Christmas or just after Christmas."​"...extreme foul language used by Eve"Not to mention the review in all caps that said: "MORE OF THIS IRRITATING TREND OF TRYING TO MAKE EVE FUNNY - I JUST KNOW IT WAS VERY NOTICEABLE TO ME. AND, I DON'T LIKE IT..."Among the good reviews, we have:​"I listened on Audio and as usual Susan Ericksen does a fab job!"​"Pulpy fun, routine formula but well written..."​"...the sizzling speed and urgency of the investigation keep the reader turning pages quickly."Plus, we talk about a LOL moment that we missed on the last episode, Roarke metaphorically marks his territory with Eve, and we're really upset to realize that we were hoping to read "Brotherhood in Death" next, but it's actually the last novella of the series: "Wonderment in Death." BOO!
