The good news is that he hasn’t even taken office yet and none of this misdirection is irrevocable. This is why we are at a crossroads. We can either continue treating the party like a boyfriend and covering for its betrayals with excuses. Or we can treat them like wayward children and force them into a better direction. I offer ideas for how we do that on spending and immigration. I also warn about the growing evidence that Trump will get involved in red-state gubernatorial primaries, as RINOs work to get his endorsement.
