Trip 21 Carp Fishing - 2026 After a couple of weeks away from the bank, I returned to Airfield Lake just as strong winds, heavy rain, and low pressure swept across the South Coast. With gusts reaching 40mph and fresh water pouring into the lake, the conditions looked absolutely perfect. What followed was a session full of highs and lows, including a lost fish in the snags, a surprise 11lb 7oz pike, an aborted take, and two hard-earned common carp after more than 40 hours of waiting.
