Story #8: JT - From Broken Bones and Drug Math to Freedom Through Books & Podcasts

from Recovery Demystified - Secular Addiction Recovery and Harm Reduction for Queers, Neurodivergent People, and Their Allies

In today's episode we hear JT's addiction recovery story. JT's story began with a traumatic childhood and being medicated for ADHD (which may have just been symptoms of trauma.) Later, her self-medication of unresolved trauma blossomed into binge drinking and multiple drug concoctions. After some broken bones, benders, and embarassment, she realized something needed to change. It took a few attempts, but she ultimately found freedom through immersion in self-education via books, podcasts, exercise, and a litany of other coping skills.   Donate to our GoFundMe: https://gofund.me/0211812f Prefer PayPal or Venmo? : @recoverydemystified Email: [email protected] Instagram: @recoverydemystified Logo: Stevie Petet Theme Music: Logan Bragg
