Storytime with Cedric Maxwell

from Garden Report | Celtics Postgame Show from TD Garden · host CLNS Media Network in Boston

I’m frequently asked about how I reunited with the #Celtics. As some of you know, in 1985, I was traded to the #Clippers. My allowing the trade brought the great @billwalton to #Boston, followed by Banner (sweet) 16. There’s been a lot of stories about my falling out of grace with Red, Larry Bird and my teammates in Boston. Some of the stories you may have heard are true. Some of the stories have become grossly embellished over the years. #Radio & #Podcasting fits me so well bc I like time to talk. The years following my trade in 85, I was admittedly bitter with how the way my trade all played out & this become one of the few topics I maybe didn’t openly discuss. Well, age heals wounds and there’s no doubt that I will bleed green the rest of my life. Idle time & the suffering people are facing with #coronavirus has made me want to open a bit. So, my friends who pushed me to get back on social media decided to make a bunch of mini segments on stories you def haven’t heard. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
