Scott studied American Studies with an emphasis on Urban Development at the University of California, Berkeley. She is the founder/owner of Honey Art Studio, a space that acknowledges Black people's creativity, longevity, ingenuity, and faith. Working in the underserved Bayview Hunter’s Point neighborhood in San Francisco, Armstrong is the Founder of the Primed & Prepped: A Hospitality Management/Culinary Arts Mentoring and Job Training Program at the Bayview Hunters Point YMCA. The program aims to help mitigate the barriers to employment for young males and females of color.
