Stranger Tangents | Chapter 252

Episode Summary This week on Distance NERDing, Phil & Jen spiral into glorious speculation chaos! From Sadie Sink possibly joining Spider-Man: Brand New Day to Marvel's trailer-drop sorcery, we chase theories harder than Peter Parker chases rent. We also dive into the Stranger Things universe expanding beyond the 80s—because nothing says "family-friendly nostalgia" like mind-controlled agents, Punisher teaming with Spidey, and a possible spin-off set in the 1950s nuclear test sites. Expect wild theories, accidental mini-strokes, and enough nerd energy to power the Upside Down. Timestamps & Topics 02:00 – Gem State Comic Con guest hype & psychic-powered wedding invites 03:40 – Marvel News Block kicks off 08:00 – Sadie Sink joins Spider-Man: Brand New Day (hairgate commences) 14:00 – Gwen Stacy theories & fiery debates 16:00 – Punisher vs. Spidey morality smackdown 23:30 – Marvel trailer-drop predictions (NASA cameo, anyone?) 26:00 – Avatar shade + blue cat movie slander 01:02:00 – "Satisfying but creepy" TV moments 01:03:00 – Stranger Things spin-off speculation (1950s? 90s? Phil is judging lovingly. Quotes • "Even when we don't speculate… we do." • "I don't know what you do in your tights, but I kill people." — Phil's inner Punisher • "Government goons gone wild!" • "Was that a black-suit Spider-Man?" • "Avatar minus the buttholes."
