Hopper and Joyce find a Russian lab under one of the locations on their checklist; and they take Alexi hostage with Grigori on their trail. Meanwhile, Nancy and Jonathan catch up with Mike, El, Max, Lucas, and Will where they agree Mrs. Driscoll and Billy are flayed. Also, surviving the elevator scare, Steve, Dustin, Robin, and Erica have to sneak around Russian lab techs and find themselves staring at a giant laser beam working to open up another gate.
