She has been on the forefront of scholarship on agency, change, and communication from feminist perspectives. Her books include⁠⁠ Inviting Transformation⁠⁠.Together, Karen and Sonja have authored ⁠⁠Feminist Rhetorical Theories⁠⁠, ⁠⁠Gender Stories⁠⁠, and ⁠⁠Feminism in Practice⁠⁠. Today, Abbie, Karen, and Sonja discuss "interpretation" as the core of Karen and Sonja's work and lives. Karen and Sonja present strategies for making new choices, including reframing, appreciation, enactment, and more.
