🎸Straturday Night: Live from Creed/Mammoth, Randall Amp Hunt & Hamer Phantom Revival! 8/9/25

🎸🔥 Straturday Night was jam-packed this week! Our friend Music Therapy Laz checked in live from the Creed / Mammoth WVH show at Shoreline Amphitheatre 🎤🎶 — we even got to hear some of the concert! From there, Ron spotted a Randall RG1503-212 combo amp at a pawn shop and had his GAS (Gear Acquisition Syndrome) fully activated 🤘. That sparked a debate on big amps vs. small amps, plus Ron showed off some of his killer Jackson guitars. I shared live footage of The May Fire rocking Walnut Creek, CA, and busted out my long-forgotten Hamer Phantom A5 — untouched since 2009 with rusted strings! 🕰️🪓 Later, I restrung it and jammed hard… turns out it still shreds! I even compared my black, red, and white Phantom A5s back-to-back. We also looked back at footage from my guest spot with PAR AVION at Tiki Tom’s in 2022 🎵🎸. At the workbench, Ron stained an Ibanez-style neck darker, sanded a Strat body for Bay Area Rich (soon to be a Buddy Guy polka-dot special 🎯), while I gave the Phantom a full revival before letting it rip. We wrapped with vintage 2009 Ustream footage — the last time I played the guitar I thought was broken for over a decade.
