🔥 On this Straturday Night Live episode, we open with heartbreaking news — Limp Bizkit has announced the passing of their bassist Sam Rivers, who died earlier today at just 48 years old. 💔 The band shared a touching post on Instagram remembering Sam as “a brother, a musical genius, and one of the kindest souls we’ve ever known.” Fans around the world are mourning the loss of this nu-metal legend. 🙏 Limp Bizkit bassist Sam Rivers has passed away at the age of 48. The band confirmed the sad news in a heartfelt post on Instagram. “Today we lost our brother. Our bandmate. Our heartbeat,” the message read. “Sam Rivers wasn’t just our bass player — he was pure magic. The pulse beneath every song, the calm in the chaos, the soul in the sound.” A founding member of Limp Bizkit, Rivers formed the band in 1994 alongside Fred Durst and John Otto. He played on every Limp Bizkit album and even contributed guitar parts to 2003’s Results May Vary. In 2015, Rivers stepped away from the band due to health complications related to excessive drinking but made a triumphant return in 2018.
