Straw Innovations: Blending Nature With Technology - Justin Cullifer's Journey
from Lure of the Lake
Keeping with my theme of interesting people & interesting businesses, my guest today certainly fits the bill! We’ll meet Justin Cullifer, who recently opened a new business that solves an old problem. Justin noticed that everyone wanted to transform their home to look like the manicured entrances of local golf communities, with beautiful pine straw installed and blending with the landscape . But there really wasn’t an easy way to accomplish that. So, Preserved Pine was born! Blending the age old “laying of pine straw” with the convenience of modern technology, Justin created a high tech way to request and complete your custom pine straw installation…think of them as the Uber of pine straw! You’ll love the simplicity and convenience they are bringing to the lake area! But he also has a “day job” in the technology field. Several years ago, Justin formed APG Technology, a software-consulting group, and we’ll talk about the important and interesting work they do. They recently won a Best in Georgia award for the impactful work they are doing here is Georgia. You don’t want to miss our conversation about AI trends! And, of course, you’ll hear the story of what brought, or lured, Justin to the lake and how they went from part time residents, living & working in Atlanta, to full time residents occasionally visiting Atlanta!
