Strawberries: Part 1 of 2

Welcome back to Storytime With Shade! I held a contest on the 'Storytime With Shade; Facebook page where I asked people to submit short story 'starters.' The ones that had the most reacts after a week was done would have a story made from their 'starter.' This story is the long-delayed winner, with the opening line, "I remember that she grew strawberries on her lawn; not the most comforting thing about her, but it had been comforting to know that, if I couldn't get into the house, at least I wouldn't starve."
