Today I saw a documentary series on street football entitled Kings of the Underground. I didn't see any other players dressed for safety, but they were wearing football jerseys. They were playing out in a field. Their game looks a whole lot different than the NFL. So many people stand around in a circle to watch the game. I doubt that they have the same rules as the NFL, and when they play, I heard the documentary say the players get paid. Your thousand dollars can turn into 16 grand. The players embody a raw authentic spirit. There is a lot of cursing and trash talking. I guess it's a means of asserting identity and confidence. They do more than wrap with words to prove they are the best. The streetball players knock each other down, and you wouldn't want to get in their way.
