In our fifth episode, we speak to Chief Operating Officer at Cancer Council Queensland Balveen Ajimal on her personal experience navigating endometriosis and advocating for other women as the Queensland Ambassador for Endometriosis Australia. With the debilitating disease affecting at least 1 in 9 women in Australia, Ajimal wants to open the women’s health conversation and ensure all women receive the support they need. Reflecting on her mother’s debilitating journey with the disease and her own endometriosis diagnosis being delayed, Ajimal joins in conversation with Tarla Lambert on ‘It Takes Boobs’ to discuss what needs to be created for future generations of women managing similar diagnoses.
