Strength, Sport, and Purpose — A Chat with Rebecca Rouse

from Plate Stack Chat with Jason Fitness Media · host Jason Fitness Media and Guests

In this episode of Plate Stack Chat, we’re joined by Rebecca Rouse for an easy going but insightful conversation about strength, sport, and using fitness for something bigger than just numbers on a barbell.Rebecca is a strength & conditioning coach, entrepreneur, and competitive weightlifter with a background in gymnastics before finding kettlebells—and eventually Olympic lifting. She’s the 2025 Texas State Weightlifting Champion and currently ranked 3rd nationally in the 64kg weight class, coming off a strong performance at the 2024 National Championships with a 206kg total.Beyond competition, we talk about building MCHN Strength, and the work she and her husband are doing through the Semper Stronger Foundation, supporting combat veterans and first responders injured in the line of duty through movement and strength training. This episode blends training talk, competition experience, entrepreneurship, and purpose—without getting too serious. Just a thoughtful, relaxed chat about what strength can look like when it’s applied both on and off the platform.
