On this episode I  share with you  techniques to decrease your stress by self-soothing touch.It is human nature to need to be touched to feel content and safe.  Physical touch has a protective effect on the physiologic stress response. A hand hold or a hug from another can relieve your stress. But sometimes touch from another is unavailable, uncomfortable, or not safe.Research has shown that alternatively, self-touch gestures can be used to decrease your stress response and actually decrease your cortisol levels.
