Stricken, Smitten, and Afflicted
from The Next Step Podcast Hosted by Justin Rossow
Author Justin Rossow and Lead Illustrator Valerie Matyas walk through the material for the hymn Stricken, Smitten, and Afflicted in the When from Death I'm Free hymn journal for Holy Week. Valerie and Justin talk about the Scripture reading and devotion and spend some time coming to grips with the real suffering Jesus went through for us. They also talk about how hymns and visual faith tools help us focus on the Word as we point our toes and eyes toward Jesus.
