Strider's First Loss, Acuña's Fire
from Atlanta Braves News Today | 2 Min News | The Daily News Now!
Spencer Strider’s first loss of the season came in a tense, six-to-four defeat against the Reds, despite flashing elite stuff—including a 98 mph fastball. He struggled with command, especially against lefties, and gave up season-high four runs on seven hits. Though frustrated with his execution, the Braves rallied in the ninth, loading the bases and bringing the tying run to the plate—only to fall short when Matt Olson grounded out. Still, the team clinched another series win, buoyed by Ronald Acuña Jr.’s fifth homer in four games, a blast off the first pitch of the game.
